Pakistani photographers were invited to India at the request of Observer Research Foundation (ORF) as part of its Karachi-Mumbai Friendship Forum.
When photographers were only being introduced to the audience at the Mumbai Press Club, Shiv Sena activists started chanting anti-Pakistan slogans while getting close to the stage.
However, Indian police managed to interrupt and escorted them out of the venue.

The team of five Pakistani photographers had arrived in the city on June 20 to return to Pakistan on June 30, said Indian media reports.
As part of the Karachi-Mumbai Friendship Forum, five photographers from Mumbai would also visit Karachi in July.
Pieces of photography by both the delegations would be showcased in Karachi and Mumbai near Independence Day.
ORF has denounced Shiv Sena activists’ undue attempt to disturb the event aimed at introducing the Pakistani visitors.

The hardliner Indian political party has a long anti-Pakistan history. Shiv Sena always launch hate campaigns against prominent figures from Pakistan visiting India, whether they are actors, singers from Pakistani artist fraternity or even cricketers.
Last year, a concert of Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali, scheduled to be held in Mumbai, was cancelled after security threats by Shiv Sena activists.
Cricket legends Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar also received threats from Shiv Sainiks when they were doing cricket commentary during India and South Africa one-day international (ODI) series in 2015.
