MUMBAI: Bollywood loses another veteran actor after Sri Devi. Raj Kishore, who played a strong supporting role of a prisoner in Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay passed away.
The actor was 85 years old.
Besides Sholay, Kishore played vital roles in many classic Bollywood movies such as Padosan (1968), Deewar (1975), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), Patanga (1949), Karishma Kudrat Kaa (1985), Aasmaan (1984), Bombay To Goa 1972) and Karan Arjun (1995) had a heart attack last night that led to his sad demise.
In Sholay, he marked his own presence in a particular scene as he eyeballed the jailor (Asrani) who steps in to inspect the prisoners.
The senior actor’s funeral took place at Aarey Crematorium Friday morning.
