According to ARY News, Director General Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh, Salman Shah in a media briefing on Thursday said that all preparations have been completed to meet an emergency situation due to expected flooding in Indus river.
Salman Shah said that more than 1000 tents, two boats, life jackets, fuel pumps and other necessary items have been provided in Larkana, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Kashmore and Khairpur districts for the flood relief operation.
He said that the district administrations have also established relief camps for the flood victims.
The relief official appealed to the general public to vacate their villages in the Katcha area of the province and to move to safer places.
