KARACHI: The Sindh government on Saturday decided to make alleged embezzlement cases of provincial departments public through digitalising them, ARY News reported.
Following this decision the department of anti-corruption would be linked with the department of information, science and technology.
“Names of the officers involved in graft cases will also be made part of the digitalised system,” the provincial government announced.
Every citizen will be provided information about corruption of provincial organisations.
Help has been sought from different departments to ensure digitalisation of the system.
The Sindh government has constituted a six-member team headed by the deputy secretary anti-corruption department for implementation of the system. The team also includes officers of the departments of education and information, science and technology.

A notification has been issued by Services General Administration and Coordination Department.
In December last year, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had said that digitalising Pakistan was the top priority of the government.
Chairing the first meeting of Prime Minister’s Taskforce on Information Technology and Telecom in Islamabad, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had said Pakistan would move towards development and prosperity through information technology.
The federal minister had said that penetration of fiberization, broadband, mobile phones and smart phones will be enhanced across the country and added that PTI government is committed for promotion of information technology in the country.
