TOP NEWS

According to details, Sindh Government and the Federation have come face to face on the issue of the appointment of IG Sindh. The Government of Sindh rejected the names of Mir Zubair, Khan Baig and Rafique Hassan Butt, which were recommended by the Federation for the slot.

The provincial government is insisting on Fayyaz Laghari to be made the new IG Sindh.

Earlier some six months ago, the Sindh Government had appointed Iqbal Mahmood as the IG of Sindh Police and the Federation had to withdraw from the names it had recommended, but this time the Federal Government has clarified on the provincial government that it will have to leave likes and dislikes, and will have to make a decision in the interest of the province.

The Government of Sindh instead of giving a clear answer, is insisting on the name of Fayyaz Laghari.

Meanwhile, Provincial Information Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Memon has asked the Federation not to impose its decisions on Sindh.

He said that Fayyaz Laghari is an able police officer, who has served in Sindh earlier to this and well understands the dynamics of the province.
