Talking to media, Qaim Ali Shah said terrorists are equipped with sophisticated arms, while police lack such weapons and ammunition, due to which it is facing difficulties in counter-terrorism operations.

He told that the IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali had requested the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif for provision of modern arms to Sindh Police, which has been accepted.

“Operations are ongoing against all terrorist groups including the Taliban and terrorism will be eliminated from all over Sindh,” resolved Shah.

The chief minister said that soon police will overcome these difficulties and will take the Karachi Operation to its logical end.
