Sindh govt pursues zero-tolerance approach against terrorists: CM Murad

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday said that his government was pursuing zero-tolerance approach against terrorists.

Addressing a press conference accompanied by provincial minister Saeed Ghani and Law Adviser Murtaza Wahab, CM Murad Ali Shah said that the provincial government was implementing the National Action Plan in letter and spirit.

He claimed that all the networks involved in terrorist activates in the province had been busted. Lauding the performance of law enforcement agencies, CM Murad said that successful organization of PSL final in Karachi was a great achievement.

The chief minister said, “The cooperation from the residents of Karachi was exemplar. Yesterday, peace, smiles, unity and Pakistan emerged victorious.”

Earlier, the government had convened a parliamentary parties meeting on March 28 to hold consultation on the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the advice of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had dispatched a letter to the heads of parliamentary parties.

“The meeting is to highlight the objectives of National Action, which also includes not allowing the use of our soil for terrorist activities against any other country”, the letter had  read.
