PESHAWAR: Ameer of Jamat e Islami (JI), Siraj ul Haq has stressed on the need of taking measures for the restoration of peace in state, regardless of party interests. He said that the nation is facing difficulties today, due to inadequate policies of the past – ARY News reports.

Siraj ul Haq visited the family of Lieutenant Colonel Zahir Shah, who was martyred in Fateh Jang suicide attack on June 4 and expressed his heartfelt condolences for the family of the martyred official.

Talking to media on this occasion, he said that collective efforts are needed for taking out the country from hardships.

Siraj told that the steps taken by the Federal Government for the restoration of peace are fully backed by the entire nation.

He prayed for the re-establishment of peace in the country, for Pakistan will prosper only after getting rid of terrorism.

JI has been criticized in the past due to the stance it opted for on numerous issues, under the leadership of Syed Munawwar Hassan, yet Siraj ul Haq condoling the family of the martyred military official can be seen as a positive step, in contrast to JI’s hardline policies.
