Siraj pushes govt to probe irregularities in elections

Talking to media here at Mansoora, Sirajul Haq expressed his displeasure over mishandling of the Faisalabad unrest by the government. He suggested the government to initiate talks with patience as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has also demonstrated flexibility for it.

He told that his party will choose its own way of a struggle for constitutional reforms in the country and in this regard a road-map will be announced at Mazar-e-Quaid on December 25.

The JI emir welcomed the appointment of Justice (R) Sardar Raza as the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan, however he also demanded for the replacement of rest of the ECP members.

He suggested that the ECP should itself try to acquire its due powers.

Siraj negated the chances of a martial law in the country, yet he said that if an ‘accident’ occurs, then the ‘traffic police’ will have to intervene.
