Yes, this was confirmed by producer-director Arbaaz Khan who confirmed she will be returning for the third time. However, he also hinted at the possibility of another heroine in the film.
“Sonakshi is going to be a part of Dabangg 3,” he said in an interview with the Times of India newspaper. However, in what capacity she will play the role will be seen after the script is finalised.
Earlier there were also reports that Sonakshi was dropped from the franchise sequel for refusing to work in ‘Dolly ki Dolli’ also produced by Arbaaz Khan. There was also reportedly some friction when the two had a showdown at the wedding of Arpita, sister of Salman and Arbaaz Khan and were said not to be on talking term with each other.
