Actress Sonam Kapoor, who is basking in the success of her latest release “PadMan”, was irked when a journalist asked her a question after her rivalry with Deepika Padukone.
Reports were doing the rounds from quite some time that the actress has deleted rival actress Deepika Padukone’s PadMan challenge video from her Instagram feed.
Sonam had reposted Deepika’s video with a sanitary pad. The video was among many videos by other celebrities Sonam had reposted.
Sonam was attending an event in Mumbai when she was asked on the same by a journalist, Sonam lashed out at her for trying to unnecessarily create a controversy.
Answering the journalist’s question, Sonam clarified she hadn’t deleted anything, and if it can’t be seen, it was because of a glitch or technical issues.
“I can’t imagine a woman is asking me these questions…do you not like other women? Don’t create controvery where there is none. I expect a woman to support other women, not create these situations. So support other women, so we can all move forward,” said Sonam Kapoor.
This gave fodder once again to rumours of their bitter rivalry which goes back to the time when Sonam’s debut film Saawariya clashed with Deepika’s debut movie Om Shanti Om in 2007.
However, it looked as if the two divas have buried their hatchet when they praised each other and wishing all the luck for their respective films namely Neerja and Bajirao Mastani in 2015.
On being asked about her wedding rumours with beau Anand Ahuja, Sonam stated that she doesn’t like to disclose her personal life in front of the media.
Sonam was spotted with Ahuja at her cousin Mohit Marwah recent wedding in Dubai. It is being said that Sonam will get hitched to Anand, this April but nothing is confirmed as of now.
Sonam is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Veerey Di Wedding’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar.
