KARACHI: Ahle Sunnat Muftis have issued fatwa against suicide attacks and termed suicide attackers of Shah Noorani incident ‘dwellers of hell’, ARY News reported.
The fatwa was passed by scores of scholars of Sunni school of thought including members of Ittehad-e-Ummat Pakistan organisation’s Shariah Board, Muhammed Imran Hanafi Qadri, Mufti Peer Syed Karamat Ali, Mufti Abu Bakr Awan, Mufti Muhammed Qaisar Shehzad and Mufti Masood ur Rehman.

They said the philosophy of so-called prevalent Jihadi organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram and Al Shabab was misleading, un-Islamic and based on ignorance.
“Islam disallows killing on the basis of sectarian differences,” they said.
While, Muftis of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat and Sunni Ittehad Council in a notification said suicide attacks are un-Islamic and haram.

The notification was endorsed by Allama Peer Syed Mazhar Saeed Kazmi, Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Allama Muhammed Ikram Shah Jamali and others.
At least 65 people were killed while over 100 others were injured when a blast struck Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan’s Hub tehsil on Saturday evening.
The blast hit worshippers participating in a ceremony at the shrine of the Sufi saint Shah Noorani, some 750 kilometres (460 miles) south of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
