Sunny Leone is a controversial actress whose rise to stardom has always been acquainted with her troublesome past. The actress’ transition from an adult industry performer to a mainstream Bollywood actress has been fraught with criticism and denial. However, a couple of films old and touted as one of India’s most successful item girls, Sunny has at last encountered some success. The actress stated in an interview that her blood family had never been supportive of her, regardless.

“My (relatives) don’t speak to me anymore. They don’t like me at all and that’s very sad. Since ‘Bigg Boss’ everybody disowned me. I put my best foot forward and I reached out to them, but they are not okay with who I am. All of India accepted me, other than my blood family. It doesn’t make any sense, right? Of course, that’s their prerogative. I know who my real family is – My husband, brother, Daniel’s parents and my friends. These are the people who stuck by me in good and bad times, unlike my blood relatives, who didn’t make one phone call. So I am happy being around people who love me for who I am,” said the Jism 2 actress.

Sunny did however speak volumes of praise for her husband Daniel Weber and all the support he had given to her during her rough days.

“His father worships his mother and he’s grown up seeing that. So, I married a compete gentleman. We also work together, help each other out, whether it is making breakfast together or doing the dishes. There is no ‘I’ or ‘me’ in our household,” she said.

And here’s what Sunny said when she was asked as to what qualities did she like in a man.

“I like men who are chivalrous. He should open the door for me and give me a hand when I am walking down the stairs. At the end of the day, a woman is looking for a man who treats her like a princess,” she said.
