Sunny Leone bags role in Shahrukh and Mahira starrer Raees

According to details, Sunny has bagged a coveted spot opposite Shah Rukh Khan for his upcoming movie Raees, which also stars Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. However, Sunny Leone will not be part of the whole movie but will make a cameo appearance for the song Laila O Laila in Raees. That’s right, Bollywood’s controversial actress will shake a leg with none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

“Raees is set in the ’80s and there was need of a song sequence. The makers unanimously selected “Laila O Laila” which perfectly fits with the dark, gangster theme and period. It was suggested to Shah Rukh and it was his idea to get Sunny on board. A lavish set is being created in Mumbai and rehearsals are on in full swing,” disclosed a source close to the makers of the film.

Raees is about a bootlegger played by Shah Rukh Khan whose illegal trade is thwarted by a committed policeman, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Mahira Khan plays the love interest of Shah Rukh Khan.

Sunny Leone received a lot of attention and sympathy after she was interviewed by an Indian journalist who asked her insensitive questions and judged her for her stint as an adult actress. The actress’ way of handling the interview drew immense praise from Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia and is set to release by Eid this year. Sunny Leone will resume the shoot for the song in the next two months, she is already shooting for a film.
