Sunny Leone beats Katrina, Deepika to become 'Most Googled Indian of 2015'

Sunny Leone has courted one controversy after the other, mainly due to her bold scenes in movies and ‘tainted’ past. Due to these reasons, it has been difficult for Sunny to bag a major award or for any film of hers to gross an impressive amount at the box office. However, before the close of year, the Bollywood actress has topped the list of ‘Most Googled Indian of 2015’ list! What’s more impressive is the fact that in order to climb the top of the mountain, she has beaten the likes of Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan!

Salman Khan came second, which is a little surprising owing to the fact that 2015 was a great year for the Dabangg actor. Salman had two mega blockbuster flicks this year, namely Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.  However, Salman was unable to surpass Sunny Leone and become the most Googled Indian celebrity of the current year.

She also beat Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to be the most googled Bollywood actress in the list. Again, this is surprising due to the fact that Deepika has had immense success this year with Piku, Tamasha and her upcoming movie Bajirao Mastani is also touted to be one of the biggest movies of this year and the next. Katrina Kaif has also had a busy year. Even though Kat’s lips are mostly sealed about her professional life, her close association with Ranbir Kapoor has had generated quite the interest.

Let’s hope Sunny Leone carves herself a spot in the Bollywood fraternity. For now, the actress has captivated audiences to search her online but awards and accolades are certainly missing from Leone’s kitty!
