KABUL: An elderly Afghan cleric has been arrested after he married a six-year-old girl, officials said Friday, in the latest case highlighting the scourge of child marriages in the war-battered country.

The workshop organized is to help discourage the young girls from the custom of child marriage.
KENTUCKY: In recognition of her struggle to end child marriages, Swat's 14-year-old Hadiqa Bashir has been bestowed with the third Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, ARY News reported.
