Superintendent Zeeshan was fired by Punjab prisons IG after having three of his relatives over for a jail tour which was not officially sanctioned.

A separate vacancy has been generated for inspector general (IG) of prisons for South Punjab province.

IG Prisons also requested the Sindh government to release prisoners behind bars that have been put away to serve minor offences.
