Ismail filed the bail petition after the high court granted bail to former managing director of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Sheikh Imranul Haq, a co-accused in the same case.
The counsel of Miftah said that the National Accountability Bureau issued the call up notice to his client on July 15 while on 16 July, his arrest warrants were issued, which indicates malicious intent on the part of the NAB.
In petition he called the charges against him baseless and sought a pre-arrest bail from the high court till completion of the investigation and filing of reference against him in court.
