PESHAWAR: Taliban interlocutors have said that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have responded positively to the government recommendations, ARY News reported on Monday.
Talking to media after returning to Akora Khattak from Miranshah the members of Taliban talks committee said that the TTP leadership has responded positively over the recommendations of the government. They said the government committee has been informed about the response of Taliban.
Maulana Samiul Haq, the chief of a faction of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, said that he will not disclose the details of the talks with Taliban at this point, which could harm the peace process.
A member of Taliban committee Yousuf Shah also said the Taliban have responded positively. Prof. Ibrahim another member of the committee said that the details of the talks with Taliban leadership could not be disclosed at this point. He said the government's committee will be informed about the progress.
Samiul Haq said the dialogue is a national issue which should not be dealt with emotionally. He further said that the issue could not be resolved in of minutes.
He said that the demands of Taliban will be presented to the government in a day or two. He said nothing would be kept secret from the nation.
