Tareen advises Sharif to get himself treated from Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen on Monday said the government would follow the recommendations of the medical board formed to examine former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s health issues.

Speaking to journalists in Lahore, here today, the PTI leader said the court will decide about allowing Sharif to travel abroad for treatment and added the PTI government will not become respondent in it.

“Sharif should get himself treated from Pakistan as we have best medical facilities available here”, Tareen maintained.

Underlining the need of plantation, he regretted that past government failed to pay heed on this important issue.

We had planted one billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa successfully, Jahangir Tareen said and expressed his resolve of planing as many as 100,000 trees in Lodhran in current year.

Earlier in the day, a two-member panel of doctors of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after examining former prime minister Nawaz Sharif recommended him cycle exercise.

Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered the chief minister Punjab to ensure availability of ‘every health facility’ in the country to get Nawaz Sharif ‘treatment of his choice’.

PM Khan assured of any assistance on part of the federal government that may be required to Sharif.
