An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Karachi on Thursday ordered 90 days detention of Mehboob on the plea of Rangers officials for his alleged involvement in extortion and harboring target killers.
Pakistan Rangers Sindh had apprehended Tariq Mehboob from Karachi’s Water Pump locality.

A press release issued by the Rangers said the ATC had sent the accused for preventive detention of 90 days in Central Jail on April 16 for further investigation.
The press release further said that Tariq Mehboob did not die in Rangers’ custody but he died in jail.
