Imran Khan, speaking to media at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Friday, said that the collected taxes are not being spent on the welfare of the people.
He added that Pakistan’s inclusion in the 34-nation alliance against terrorism was also not discussed in the Parliament.
Khan also said that peace has returned to Karachi due to the operations carried out by Rangers in the metropolis. He added that the corrupt elements want to limit the powers of the para-military force.
PTI Chairman urged the special powers should be extended to Rangers till the police force has undergone improvement.
He also said that the elements who rigged the 2013 general elections have also not been held accountable as yet. He added that the local bodies elections were also “openly rigged”.
