The first day of PSL draft

Fifth round

Karachi Kings selected Mohammad Amir in the fifth round of the draft pick.

Lahore Qalandars chose Mustafizur Rehman whereas Quetta Gladiators chose Zulfiqar Babar in their draft pick.

Islamabad United picked Sharjeel Khan in the players draft.


Peshawar Zalmi selected Tamim Iqbal in the team.

Kevin Cooper was taken by Lahore Qalandars whereas Umar Gul was selected by Quetta Gladiators.


  Islamabad United chose Mohammad Sami while Junaid Khan was picked by Peshawar Zalmi.

 

Stage Two

Karachi Kings pick fast bowler Bilawal Bhatti in their squad.

England’s James Vince was also selected by Karachi Kings in the draft.


Elton Chigambura was selected by Quetta Gladiators whereas Peshawar Zalmi chose James Allenby.


Khalid Latif was the last player to be drafted on day one as he was picked by Islamabad United.

 

Fourth round

Karachi Kings picked all rounder Immad Wasim in the fourth round draft. He has played five T20 internationals and has scored 60 runs in his career.


Lahore Qalandars selected Mohammad Rizwan as their next draft pick.

  Anwar Ali was picked by Quetta Gladiators.


Seven foot pacer Mohammad Irfan and West Indies’ Samuel Badree is selected by Islamabad United. Wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal was selected by Peshawar Zalmi.

Stage Two

Karachi Kings pick England’s all rounder Ravi Bopara in the second stage of fourth round.


Karachi Kings also selected West Indies’ batsman Lendl Simmons in the fourth round.

Sohaib Maqsood was picked by Lahore Qalandars.


Australia’s former wicket keeper Brad Haddin goes to Islamabad United.

Lahore Qalandar selected Pakistan’s leg spinner Yasir Shah.


Jason Holder of West Indies was picked by Quetta Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators also selected Luke Wright of England in their team.


Peshawar Zalmi selected Pakistan’s opener Mohammad Hafeez and England’s Chris Jordan.

Third round

In the third round of the PSL draft pick, Karachi Kings selected left arm bowler Sohail Tanvir in their team.

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz was selected by Peshawar Zalmi.


Dwayne Bravo of West Indies was selected by Lahore Qalandars.

Quetta Gladiators picked West Indian batsman Darren Sammy and Ahmed Shehzad in the draft pick.

 

Second round

In the second round of the draft pick, the Karachi Kings chose arguably Bangladesh’s best cricketer ever Shakib Al Hasan. Hasan has captained his country in Tests, ODIs and T20s.

Quetta Gladiators selected Sarfraz Ahmed in the draft.

Misbah-ul-Haq and Andre Russell of West Indies was selected by Islamabad United.

Lahore Qalandars  selected Umar Akmal in their side.

First round

Peshawar Zalmi was the first team to make the pick and it chose Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Afridi.

Shoaib Malik was the second player to be picked in the first round of the platinum draft — he was chosen by the Karachi Kings.

Pakistani all rounder Shoaib Malik has played 67 Twenty20 internationals for the country and has scored 1178 runs with an average of 24.04 and strike rate of 109.37.
Malik has also taken 23 wickets in his T20 international career as well.
He led the green shirts in the inaugural World Twenty20 in South Africa in 2007.
The prolific all rounder has represented domestic sides across the world such as Sialkot Stallions, Barbados Tridents, Hobart Hurricanes and Delhi Daredevils.

Australian Shane Watson was picked by Islamabad United

This was followed by the Quetta Gladiators who picked England batsman Kevin Petersen and the first round ended with the Lahore Qalandars picking explosive West Indian batsman Chris Gayle.
