According to police sources, unidentified gunmen ambushed a car at Umarzai Talashah area of Charsadda killing three persons on the spot.
Three others were injured in the incident.
Police during the investigation found some suspected items from the vehicle, police sources said.
One of the three deceased was wanted to police in several cases, sources said. Two dead men were residents of Peshawar while a deceased was resident of Charsadda.
The injured people said that they were arrived in Charsadda to attend a wedding ceremony.
