Three ‘foreign trained’ gas pipeline attackers arrested

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Police on Sunday arrested three criminals involved in exploding gas pipelines in the district, ARY News reported Sunday.

The police also recovered munitions and mortar shells from their possession. The arrested culprits confessed to exploding gas pipelines in Rojhan, Rukunpur and Ibadpur during the interrogation.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sohail Zafar said the arrested accused belonged to Baloch Republican Army (BRA) and they also confessed to get training from a neighboring country.

He said a sui gas department official was also connived in their criminal activities.

The DPO said culprits were planning to blow a gas pipeline in Sadiqabad.

Police arrested the three attackers after an encounter while their fourth accomplice managed to flee.
