Khanewal: Two security personnel killed in hand grenade attack

KHANEWAL: At least two security personnel were killed in a hand grenade attack in Khanewal, while three terrorists were also slain in a retaliatory fire by the law enforcers, ARY News reported Friday.
Police have confirmed that two security personnel have lost their lives in a hand grenade attack. Earlier it was said to be a sucide attack but police later rejected the incident being a suicide blast.
They said a group of terrorists arrived with a purpose of criminal intent and hurled a hand grenade on law enforcers.
The incident took place when an Elite Police Force officials stopped a car during snap-checking within the limits of Chup Kalan police station.
The injured were shifted to a hospital. Police also arrested a suspect from the location and began further investigation.
