MARDAN: Police on Saturday arrested three more employees of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in Mashal Khan murder case, mounting the total number of arrests to 13 as yet, ARY News reported.
The direction of investigation in Mashal lunching case took a new turn after employees of the university came to light in the CCTV camera footages received by police, said District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan.
The DPO said six people suspected of involvement in the incident have been identified as university employees. Technical teams have been formed to conduct special operation for arrest of other suspects as well, he added.
A group of university students and employees beat the Mass Communication student, Mashal, to death on April 13. The university was closed until further orders, while investigation is underway in this case.
