KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday claimed to have arrested an alleged terrorist of the militant wing of the Mutahida Quami Movement – London.
The suspect Attique alias Jinga was arrested by the the paramilitary after a raid at a shoe market in Garden area.
He is suspected to be involved in a range of criminal activities including target killings, extortion and arson attacks causing damage to public property.
Rangers also recovered a large amount of weapons and ammunition from the market.
Three ‘target killers’ arrested in Karachi raids
Police conducted raids in New Karachi and Lyari and arrested three alleged target killers belong to proscribed outfits and the Lyari gangwar.
Police arrest a man in New Karachi belonging to a banned outfit and recovered a weapon from his possession. The suspect confessed to the murder of four people in several areas of Karachi. He also claimed to have visited Afghanistan twice.
In another raid, police arrested two target killers of the gangwar from Chakiwara area, and recovered weapons from their possession. The suspects belonged to Malir and were absconding in Lyari.
Police said that murder and extortion cases are lodged against them, while further investigations are further being conducted.
