Tight security for Youm-e-Ali (R.A) processions

The routes of the processions on the occasion will be sealed with containers.

Sindh’s home department has imposed a ban on pillion riding on 8th and 9th July in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur cities of the province. Thousands of policeman will be deployed for security of the processions in the province on the day.   Rangers’ help has also been sought on the occasion.

Thousands of cops will be deployed for security of Youm-e-Ali (R.A) processions in Lahore while three companies of Punjab Rangers will also be on security duty. The police force has also written a letter to the home ministry for a helicopter for aerial surveillance.

The participants of the procession will be checked through bio-metric technology whereas a request for mobile phone jammers has also been made by the police.

The procession in Faisalabad will be monitored through CCTV cameras and mobile van cameras while 2000 police officers will also be deployed for security as well.
