Tim Allen draws inspiration from Erika Kirk; forgives father's killer after 60 years

Comedian Tim Allen drew inspiration from Erika, the widow of slain right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, to finally forgive the truck driver who killed his father more than 60 years ago.

Emmy-nominated actor Tim Allen, who lost his father, Gerald M. Dick, in a car accident in 1964, when he was only 11, has been inspired by Erika Kirk’s act of forgiveness, for the 22-year-old man charged with her husband’s murder earlier this month, and announced that he forgives the drunk driver responsible for the fatal collision.

“When Erika Kirk spoke the words on the man who killed her husband: ‘That man… that young man… I forgive him.’  That moment deeply affected me,” Allen wrote in an X post earlier this week.

“I have struggled for over 60 years to forgive the man who killed my Dad,” added the ‘Home Improvement’ star and confirmed, “I will say those words now as I type: ‘I forgive the man who killed my father.'”

He concluded his post with, “Peace be with you all.”

Meanwhile, it is worth noting here that Tyler Robinson, 22, who was charged with the murder of Charlie Kirk, a close Donald Trump ally, days after the conservative influencer was shot dead on a Utah university campus, was forgiven by his widow, Erika, during his memorial service at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, last week.
