Apple recently introduced two new iPhones – the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. If you’re wondering how the new iPhones compare to previous generation and what’s new, read on, as we present you top 5  features of the iPhone 6.

Apple Pay

Many companies have been trying to get in the NFC payments game for years and it still hasn’t taken off at a larger scale. This will probably change when Apple Pay is released later in the year.

New iPhones feature an NFC chip, which will allow you to pay with your iPhone at numerous partnered companies like McDonald’s, Staples, Walgreens etc. We have yet to see if this will catch on, but the idea is certainly exciting.

New Retina HD Displays

The iPhone 6 has a new Retina HD display, which is made of ion-strengthened glass. The display has better viewing angles, and is easier to use in direct sunlight. The iPhone 6 features a resolution of 1344 x 750 pixels, which means it kept the same 326 ppi as the iPhone 5/5s, but it has a better resolution thanks to the larger screen. On the other hand, the Plus has a full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which equates to 401 ppi.

Better Battery Life

One of the biggest complaints about the iPhone 5 and 5s was its short battery life. Thanks to a more efficient A8 processor, new iPhones will provide you with close to all-day battery life. With the iPhone 6 you can expect up to 10 hours of Web surfing, while the iPhone 6 Plus has an even bigger battery, allowing for 12 hours of Web surfing. Increased battery life will also benefit those who like to play a game or two on their iPhone.

Better Camera

While some people criticized Apple’s choice to stay with an 8MP camera, anyone who knows something about photography will tell you that megapixels don’t mean much. Sensor quality and some other features are much more important for taking quality photos, and this is where the iPhone 6 camera shines. Camera on the iPhone 6 Plus is even better, as it features optical image stabilization, a feature that will help you take sharper photos and better videos.

1080p 60 fps/720p 240 fps Video Recording

We must not forget the option to shoot 1080p videos in 60 fps. If you’re recording your kid’s football game for example, this option will make all the difference, enabling you to take smooth videos. Of course, there’s 720p 240 fps slow motion video recording option on both new iPhones, which can help you create some really memorable videos.
