LAHORE: The Child Protection Bureau on Tuesday conducted a raid in Muslim Town area of Lahore and recovered a teenage housemaid who was alleged tortured by her employers, ARY News reported.
The girl named Palwasha, aged fourteen, hails from the rural area of Sardarpura near Lahore and was working at the house of Imran Sheikh since the last three years.
She was taken to the Muslim Town police station where a complaint against her employers. She claimed that Imran Sheikh and his wife used to regularly torture her and had visible marks on her body.
Narrating her ordeal, she said that she managed to flee from their home, and was taken into protective custody after a phone call was received by the Child Protection Bureau.
