NFL star and Taylor Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, is reportedly set to ‘end his career’ before starting a family with pop megastar.
As reported by foreign media, Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce, 35, who exchanged rings with Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift, also 35, last month, is in the final year of his NFL contract and will retire from the sport at the end of the ongoing season in January 2026.
“Travis anticipates he will hang it up after this season,” a source close to Kelce confirmed to the publication. “No matter how hard that decision will be, he has a lot to look forward to in TV and in life – and he has his brother and Taylor to thank for that.”
“His brother has been so busy on TV and, as sad as it was to leave the game, he figured it out and there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” the insider added about senior Kelce and his ‘New Heights’ podcast co-host, Jason, 37, Philadelphia Eagles centre, who retired from the NFL last year.
Meanwhile, the tipster also maintained that the ‘Lover’ hitmaker has no involvement in her fiancé’s decision. “She is not forcing his hand in any way and wants him to make his own decision,” they concluded.
For the unversed, Swift and Kelce, who have been in a relationship for more than two years, announced their engagement in an Instagram post on August 26, when she shared pictures from his dreamy proposal, and captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
