PESHAWAR: All preparations have been completed for establishment of the judicial system in tribal districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), ARY News reported on Thursday
Registrar Peshawar High Court (PHC) Khawaja Wajihud Din said that the judges appointed in tribal district courts will start performing duties from Monday. The PHC Registrar said the judicial officers were advised to write verdicts in the Urdu language.
A training session was organised for newly-appointed judicial officers prior to the functioning of district courts. The officers were provided with information on tribal culture and traditions during the session.
The judicial officers have been directed for quick dispensation of justice to the nationals.

Earlier on March 4, regular courts had started functioning in tribal districts of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Twenty-eight judicial officers and eighteen prosecutors had been posted in the tribal districts after approval of the appointments by the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on February 25.
According to the notification, appointments of 28 judges in newly merged districts including seven judges for district and sessions’ court had been approved while the same number were posted as senior civil judges.

14 additional and district judges had been appointed while a senior civil judge, sessions judge and two additional sessions judge will perform duties in each district.
Earlier, a constitutional amendment [The Constitution (Thirty-First Amendment) Bill 2018] for the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was passed in the National Assembly on May 24 – 2018.
