The incident occurred near Kamalia Road when a truck and car collided with each other, resulting deaths of three people on the spot. Two others were also injured in the accident.
The injured and the dead persons were moved to a nearby hospital.
Law enforcement officials have described speeding behind cause of the accident. It may be noted here that truck driver managed to flee from the scene.
Police said further investigation was underway.
