GUJRANWALA: Police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday claimed to have arrested at least two “militants belonging to a banned outfit” from Gujranwala city of Punjab, ARY News reported.
According to details, CTD officials raided a militant hideout in Satellite Town of Gujranwala city and arrested two suspected militants namely Shakeel Ahmed and Faraz and recovered huge amounts of explosive material, arms and ammunition from their custody.
CTD statement added that the confiscated material shows that the militants were planning terrorist activities across the country.
A case has been registered at city’s CTD police station against the suspects.
