According to police, the incident took place in tehsil Kulachi of DI Khan when the two cops were returning after performing security duty with a team of anti-polio vaccinators.
It was then that unknown miscreants opened fire at them.
As a result, both the policemen were injured, who were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Kulachi.
Moreover, police have kicked off a hunt for the attackers.
