Two dead after being hit by speeding dumper in Karachi

KARACHI: Two people were killed while two others injured when a speeding dumper ran over two bikes they were riding on in a Karachi locality on Sunday morning, ARY News reported.

According to rescue sources, the driver of the speeding dumper lost control of the vehicle, crashing into two motorcycles near Ghaghar Phatak. As a result, two bikers were killed on the spot while two others sustained wounds.

The deceased and injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

The identities of those killed and injured in the accident couldn’t be ascertained immediately.

There was no immediate word on whether the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for rash driving or he managed to escape from the scene.

Earlier, on April 5, four people lost their lives and 12 others were wounded in a head-on collision between a passenger coach and a dumper in Attock.

The dreadful incident took place at Kohat road near Khandar mor, resulting in the death of four persons on the spot and injuries to a dozen others.
