Two policemen gunned down in Orangi Town

KARACHI: Two policemen were gunned down near Mominabad area, ARY News reported Wednesday.

The incident occurred near Mominabad Police Station in Orangi Town, where armed men accosted the police van and opened fire on them. As a result, two cops died on the spot.

The attackers fled the scene after targeting the police party.

The cops were identified as Iqbal and Hafeez. Previously two hand grenade attacks had hit Mominabad Police Station, but no loss of life was reported.

It may be noted here that five cops have fallen prey to terrorist attacks in a week in Orangi Town.
