UK observing 'Longest' Ramazan in 33 years

The commencement of Ramazan is determined by the lunar cycle every year and its timing shifts in relation to the Western calendar worldwide each year. For the aforementioned reason, Muslims is some parts of the world face the longest fasting hours while others face the shortest ones.
This year, Sweden and Denmark are observing the longest fasting hours while Argentina and Australia are having the shortest ones.
Longest fasting hours worldwide
Muslims in Denmark will not be eating or drinking anything for 21 long hours.
As per reports, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway are also among the countries with longest fasting hours of about 20.
The Netherlands and Belgium are having 18 hours and 30 minutes of fasting, Spain 17 hours and 30 minutes and Germany 16 hours and 30 minutes of fasting.
Muslims in the United Kingdom (UK) are facing the ‘longest Ramazan’ in 33 years as they will not eat or drink water during their fast that can last for 16 to 19 hours, depending on their UK location.
Muslims in the United States (US), France and Italy are fasting for 16 hours this year.
Shortest fasting hours worldwide
Muslims in Argentina are enjoying the least number fasting hours. They will fast for 9 hours and 30 minutes only.
Besides Argentina, Australia is having 10 hours of fasting, South Africa 10 hours and 30 minutes, Brazil 11 hours, Mexico 13 hours and 20 minutes of fasting, this Ramazan.
Moderate fasting hours worldwide
The Indian subcontinent along with the Arab states is observing modest fasting hours of 14 to 16.
In Pakistan, Muslims are fasting for 15-16 hours, whereas in India, fasting can last about 14 hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Bangladesh is having fasting hours of about 15.
Muslims in Egypt are fasting for up to 16 and a half hours while Muslims in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Palestine are fasting for 15 hours.
Yemen is fasting for 14 hours and 50 minutes and Qatar 14 hours and 40 minutes, while Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, and Sudan are observing a 14-hour long fast.
