MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar had her heydays in the mid 90s and early 2000s, but soon after her marriage she disappeared from the screen and is now hardly seen on any of the showbiz events.
The actress also has a reputation for being private. Her wedding in March last year to model Mohsin Akhtar Mir was also a low-key affair with only friends and family present.
Keeping with her image, Urmila and husband Mohsin stayed away from limelight during the last two months. The couple seem to be spending time together at a restaurant as their image was finally shared on the Instagram.
The two met at designer Manish Malhotra’s niece Rridhi’s wedding in December 2014 and fell for each other. Reportedly, Mir, who hails from a Kashmir-based business family, is 10 years younger to the Rangeela actor.
While Urmila has done several films such as Judaai (1997) and Satya (1998), Mir has mostly done a few forgettable roles. He portrayed a male prostitute in filmmaker Saurabh Sengupta’s A Man’s World and had a small role in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck by Chance.
But Urmila has undergone dramatic transformation post her film career. Some of her recent pictures would no less than be a surprise for her fans. Take a look below:
