JAMSHORO: Three-day celebrations of the 767th annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar will begin in Sehwan Sharif on Wednesday (today) amid tight security.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail will inaugurate the three-day Urs celebration by laying chador on the grave.
Thousands of devotees from across the country have started to arrive in the area for the celebrations.
Strict security arrangements have been made in this regard. At least 5000 police personnel and 1000 Rangers officials have been deployed on duty whereas walk-through gates have been installed at all the entry points of the shrine.
Yesterday, Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Shah had chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz.
The meeting was informed that all arrangements to ensure all kind of facilities like, health, supply of power and drainage have been completed.
