It is pertinent to mention here that Faisal Vawda, on October 15, had ordered deployment of police force at water distribution canal in Jamshoro to prevent water theft.

During his visit to the city, Vawda said water worth billions of rupees was being theft daily with no authority in sight to contain such massive pilfering.

He regretted that the former governments didn’t pay any heed to water theft and steps to preserve such precious resource. The minister had said government officials just filled their own pockets and never thought about serving the masses.
