VIDEO: Alligator sneaks up on group of friends

A woman has shared a terrifying video showing a huge alligator staring and slowly sneaking up on a group of unaware friends.

TikToker Jade, who goes by the handle @capecoral.jade, shared the horrifying clip recently. She happened to film it while out fishing with her friends in Florida Everglades.

The clip shows one of Jade’s friends standing on what appears to be a large pipe on the edge of the water. He has a fishing line in his hand and is attempting to find an alligator.

“Where did he go?” Jade is heard saying. But after a few seconds, she realises the large reptile is camouflaged by the water and is just a few feet away from her.

“Oh my god, holy s***,” screams Jade upon seeing the alligator. While her friend is heard saying “That’s why you do not ever sit down with your legs in the water.”

Fortunately, the alligator backed away slowly and didn’t pose any danger to the group of friends. Nevertheless, it was terrifying enough for Jade to share the story on TikTok.

Her followers said she and her friends as lucky to be injury-free after such a close encounter.

A user wrote: “That gator could have jumped and bit you in 0.5 seconds. You’re very lucky.”

“Y’all have to assume that everybody of water in Florida might have gator in it. Stay safe,” wrote another.
