“You know, as I was coming up here, I always do this. I say ‘I’m not going to get emotional about, you know, winning these awards’ and I was cool when I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards”, Diesel said.

“It was a labour of love. My only message to you is you’d be amazed what you can do with love. You’d be amazed at how powerful a force that is”, he added.

The producer of the Fast and Furious franchises said it was the love of everyone combined that saw them through to the end.

Paul Walker, best known for playing the role of Brian O’ Connor in the Fast and Furious franchise, was killed at the age of 40 in a single car accident alongside friend Roger Rodas on November 30, 2014.
