Waqar Younis unveils Pakistan's greatest all-time Test team

Pakistan’s former paceman Waqar Younis has unveiled a list of cricketers who he considers should form as the greatest Test team for Pakistan.

The former coach of Pakistan has released the list as the national cricket team is currently playing a landmark 400th Test in Dubai against the West Indies. This is also the first time that Pakistan is playing a day-night Test match with the new pink ball.

The list includes some of the great players that have stepped foot in the stadiums for the national team including several captains starting from the legendary Little Master Hanif Muhammad.

There are only two players on the list currently playing for Pakistan. This includes Younus Khan who is the highest Test runs scorer for Pakistan and is the only one who has more than 9000 runs. He also holds the record for most centuries by a Pakistani cricketer in Test cricket.

Another current player is wicket-keeper Safaraz Ahmed who is the current T20 International captain and is the youngest player in the list.

Imran Khan and Javed Miandad who were among the first Pakistani players to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2009 are included, along with batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saeed Anwar and Muhammad Yusuf.

The list would be incomplete without Wasim Akram who is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of game with 414 Test wickets.

The pace attack is complete with the Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar  regarded as the fastest bowler of all time and the first to bowl at 100 mph.

The bowling attack includes Abdul Qadir known as the master of the leg-spin.

Waqar Younis is also considered as one greatest bowlers known for his trademark ability to reverse swing a cricket ball at high speed. He also holds the record as the youngest Pakistani Test captain.
