WATCH: Amazing moment a horse attacks an alligator

The amazing footage of a horse attacking an alligator in a state park in Florida has emerged grabbing media attention worldwide.

Krystal Berry and her friends went to Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in Micanopy to celebrate their recent graduation from nursing school and started filming the unlikely enemies as they stood near each other in a field.

The moment a seemingly unprovoked horse attacked an alligator was captured in footage was watched by a small crowd of horrified onlookers.

In the footage, a group of horses are seen standing around when one breaks away from the pack and begins kicking and stomping on the alligator.

The alligator fights back, attempting to bite the horse.

A small crowd watches on helplessly as the alligator gets trampled and express concern for both the gator and the horse.

‘Did he bite him?’ one person asked. ‘Just leave him alone,’ another said. ‘Do you think he’s OK?’ yet another person asked.

‘I thought, “This is intense. I never saw anything like this before,”‘ Berry, 31, said.

“Just leave him alone,” one person behind the camera says.

The horse trots away, watching the alligator move to the other side of the field.
