'We reserve the right to respond,' Pakistan DGMO warns Indian counterpart

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Director General Military Operation (DGMO) called on his Indian counterpart on hotline and gave a stern warning over aggression across the Line of Control.
“We reserve the right to respond at the time and place of our choosing,” he said according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Pakistan Army DGMO also condemned the firing by Indian forces at a bus in Neelum Valley which killed nine civilians. Three Pakistani soldiers were also martyred by unprovoked firing across the Line of Control by Indian forces.

India is aware of Pakistan Army’s strength: Army Chief
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said India is well aware of the war preparedness and strength of the Pakistan Army.
The Army Chief, while addressing a delegation of the business community in Karachi at the Corps headquarter, said that Pakistan Army is well prepared to give a befitting reply to any Indian aggression.
“This is not the old Pakistan, neither is the old Army,” said General Sharif.
He said that peace has been restored in Karachi and the Pakistan Rangers Sindh will stay for the long haul to maintain law and order and the gains made cannot be reversed.
The exhaustive meeting went for over four hours where the Army Chief also addressed the problems of the business community. He also said that he would advise the Pakistan Army even after his retirement.
