WFP to provide Rs200m to enhance Fata girls’ enrollment in schools

PESHAWAR: Country Director World Food Programme (WFP) Binbarr Curran on Tuesday announced to provide Rs200 million to enhance Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) girls’ enrollment in schools.

In a meeting with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, a WFP delegation led by its country director Binbarr Curran informed the governor that Rs200 million would be provided to all girl students of high and middle schools of tribal areas to enhance their enrollment.

WFP will also help in various sectors including health, education and technical education, said Curran.

Jhagra has appreciated the efforts of WFP in promotion of female education in Fata.

The governor assured his full cooperation and lauded the efforts of WFP in promotion of education in Fata.
