Shahid Kapoor broke a countless number of hearts when he decided to ditch the bachelor robes and get hitched to Mira Rajput. Unlike Shahid, who hails from a family belonging to the film industry, Mira is quite an average girl. She is a Delhi-based girl who does not have any Bollywood background at all. In an interview with an Indian website, the Bollywood superstar explained how that was not a problem at all between the couple.
Shahid Kapoor stated that both were quite happy despite the fact that they did not have much in common.
I think the fact that we are different is what works. But at the same time we are very good in terms of communicating with each other,” said the Shandaar actor. Shahid Kapoor further elaborated that he came home to a normal atmosphere and the fact that Mira Rajput was an own individual, in her right and capacity.
“She makes me feel very normal. I go back to a very real atmosphere and I really like that. And she has no desires to get overtly filmy as a person. She is an individual in her own right and that is the balance that works for us,” he said.
According to rumours, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput met at a religious event. However, the Bollywood actor refused to share details about where he met Mira Rajput. But he did have advice for those who were out there seeking their soul-mate. According to Shahid, it all came down to understanding between the couple.
We met, spent time and liked each other. My understanding of it is very simple. You should be with somebody that you feel you can be with. It doesn’t matter how you meet them. You can meet them in a club, at a party, at a friend’s place, in a garden or through your family. Everybody needs a certain way. But after you meet, how you feel is what matters. So I felt things are good,” he said.
Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie Shaandaar will hit the theatres come October 22nd.
